MAKKAH — Security patrols in Makkah have arrested an Indonesian resident for engaging in fraudulent means with regard to fake Hajj campaign.

He was found posting deceptive Hajj campaign advertisements on social media, falsely offering housing and transportation services for pilgrims within the holy sites. The Indonesian was referred to the Public Prosecution after taking the necessary legal action.


The General Directorate of Public Security urged citizens and residents to comply with Hajj regulations and guidelines and to report any violations by calling over the number 911 in the regions of Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or the number 999 in other regions of the Kingdom.
