Saudi Gazette report

RIYADH — The Transport General Authority (TGA) has informed delivery app companies that the online system for sending delivery requests to motorcycle riders will be suspended temporarily in the Riyadh city, starting from early morning Tuesday, Okaz/Saudi Gazette has learned from the authority sources.

The sources said that the TGA confirmed that the temporary suspension is to implement scheduled technical updates to the electronic connection system for passing requests to motorcycle riders. This is part of its ongoing efforts to develop operational efficiency and improve service quality.

The sources indicated that the suspension of motorcycle rider requests in Riyadh will begin at 12:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 13. The assignment will resume automatically once the technical updates are completed, and the operating companies will be notified once the system is ready.

App customers will not be able to use motorcycle delivery apps during this period until the technical systems are updated to enhance service quality and operational efficiency, serving the interests of users and companies operating in this vital sector, the sources added.
