RIYADH — Saudi Arabia strongly condemned and denounced the suicide attack on the Damanyo military base in the Somali capital Mogadishu, which resulted in the deaths and injuries of dozens of people.

In a statement, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom's sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and to the government and people of Somalia. The ministry wished a speedy recovery for the injured.

The Kingdom reiterated its complete rejection of all forms of terrorism and extremism and its solidarity with Somalia and its people over this painful incident.
