JEDDAH — Al Qadsiah captain Nacho Fernández expressed his excitement ahead of the King’s Cup final, describing the match as the culmination of the team’s hard work over the 2024–25 season.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference in Jeddah, the former Real Madrid defender said: “I welcome everyone. We’re happy to be here after everything we’ve put in this season. We came to compete and give our best. I enjoy these types of matches — it’s a final, and we respect our opponent, the league champions.”
Nacho highlighted the team’s journey and the growth they’ve experienced over the past year. “This match is the fruit of a great season. After a full year of effort, we’ve managed to raise the club’s profile, and tomorrow we’ll give everything we’ve got,” he said.
Reflecting on his teammates and their preparation, the Spanish veteran was confident: “I know the players well — we’ve trained together since the start of the season. We have real quality, and we can beat any team. This is a final, and I can say with confidence: we’re ready.”
