PARIS — Al Hilal have announced the appointment of Italian tactician Simone Inzaghi as head coach of the first football team, signing a two-year deal that runs through the end of the 2026–27 season.
The agreement was finalized Wednesday evening during a signing ceremony at the Four Seasons George V Hotel in Paris, in the presence of Al Hilal Chairman Fahad Bin Nafel and the newly appointed manager.
Inzaghi, 49, arrives in Riyadh after a highly successful tenure with Inter Milan, where he won the 2023–24 Serie A title, two Coppa Italia trophies, and three Italian Super Cups.
He also guided the Nerazzurri to UEFA Champions League finals in 2023 and 2025.
Prior to his time at Inter, Inzaghi claimed silverware with Lazio, including the 2019 Coppa Italia and two Italian Super Cups.
His managerial accolades include being named Serie A’s Best Coach for the 2023–24 campaign.
The Italian will soon assume his duties at Al Hilal’s training headquarters in Riyadh, with preparations underway for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 in the United States.
The Saudi champions begin their campaign on June 18 with a high-profile clash against European champions Real Madrid in Miami.
