Saudi Gazette reportMAKKAH – The late Crown Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz was laid to rest in Al-Adl cemetery, which is one of Makkah’s oldest cemeteries

First opened for use in 1345 Hegira, Al-Adl is the second biggest cemetery in Makkah after Al-Malat in Al-Hojoun area. The cemetery is located northeast of the Grand Mosque and to the east of the Makkah governorate office.A 200-meter-long and seven-meter-wide alley separates the governorate building from the cemetery. The cemetery is 50,000 square meters in size. A rugged terrain in the middle of the cemetery was recently leveled to make the area more spacious.

A number of eminent people were buried in this cemetery including Prince Mansour Bin Abdul Aziz, Meshari Bin Abdul Aziz and Prince Majed Bin Abdul Aziz, former Makkah Emir. Also resting there are Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal, the minister and poet and his son Prince Muhammad Al-Abdullah Al-Faisal, the poet and former Ahli club president.Famous scholars are also buried in the cemetery including former Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Aziz Bin Baz and Muhammad Bin Saleh Al-Othaimeen, former member of the Supreme Council of Senior Ulema. Former Imams of the Grand Mosque were also buried in the cemetery including Sheikh Abdullah Al-Khulaifi, Abdullah Khayyat and Abdullah Al-Bassam, member of the higher scholar committee.
