DOHA — Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait have resumed normal air traffic in their airspace after a brief suspension on Monday. This suspension was part of a series of precautionary measures taken following the escalation of situation in the region.

Shortly after Iran launched missile attacks on US military bases in Qatar and Iraq on Monday, several nations including Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain had closed their air spaces while the United Arab Emirates imposed some restrictions on aviation operation. Air-travel disruptions started to ease in the Middle East after the announcement of US President Donald Trump about reaching a ceasefire deal between Israel and Iran. National carriers in the Gulf resumed flights during Monday night, with operations restarting at some of the world’s busiest airports.

Hubs in Doha and Dubai had closed briefly following Iran’s missile strike at a US air base in Qatar on Monday. The reopening signals a return to normal flight operations, with aviation officials emphasizing that passenger safety remains their utmost priority. Airlines and travelers have been advised to stay updated with any further announcements to minimize disruptions.

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Monday that official authorities are closely and continuously monitoring the situation and are evaluating developments with regional and international partners. They will provide the public with information and updates in due course.

Majed Al-Ansari, spokesperson of the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, indicated that the warnings issued by a number of embassies to their citizens to take precautions or avoid certain locations in Qatar are part of the general policies followed by a number of countries regarding travel advisories and security updates for their citizens around the world and do not necessarily reflect the presence of specific threats.

He stressed that the security situation in the country is stable and that the competent authorities are closely monitoring the situation and are ready to take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of citizens, residents, and visitors. They will also keep the public informed of any developments that warrant alerts.

Oman Air, for its part, announced the suspension of its flights to and from Manama, Dubai, Doha, and Kuwait until further notice due to recent developments in the region, urging travelers to check their flight status on its website before heading to the airport.
