MAKKAH —
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has taken disciplinary action against several Umrah companies over violations related to inadequate accommodation services for pilgrims, in breach of their approved programs.

The violations were recorded during the ministry’s ongoing field inspections aimed at monitoring the implementation of contractual obligations by licensed Umrah companies and establishments.

The ministry confirmed that the shortcomings conflicted with the standards agreed upon in advance with service providers.

As part of the enforcement measures, four companies were suspended from operations, while others faced financial penalties based on the severity and frequency of their violations.

The ministry emphasized its firm commitment to protecting the rights of Umrah performers and ensuring that all services are delivered in line with the highest levels of quality and professionalism.

It warned that negligence or failure to fulfill contractual duties will result in strict legal consequences.

This initiative prioritizes improving the experience of pilgrims and visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque at every stage of their journey to the Kingdom.

The ministry also urged all companies and service providers to fully comply with approved regulations and service timelines, ensuring the satisfaction and comfort of pilgrims throughout their stay.
