King, Crown Prince extend condolences to Ghana over deaths of ministers in helicopter crash

RIYADH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has sent a cable of condolences to Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama following the deaths of the country’s defense minister, environment, science and technology minister, and other officials in a military helicopter crash in the Ashanti Region.

“We were saddened to learn of the deaths of the minister of defense, the minister of environment, science and technology, and other officials in a military helicopter crash in the Ashanti Region of the Republic of Ghana,” King Salman said.

“We share in your grief over this loss and extend to you, the families of the deceased, and your friendly people our deepest condolences and sincere sympathy, wishing you no harm.”

Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman also sent a message of condolences to President Mahama, expressing his sympathies over the tragedy.

“I was saddened to learn of the deaths of the minister of defense, the minister of environment, science and technology, and other officials in a military helicopter crash in the Ashanti Region of the Republic of Ghana,” the Crown Prince said.

“I extend to you, the families of the deceased, and your friendly people my heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathy, wishing you no harm.”
