AHSA — Seventy Saudi nurses working for the Maternity and Children’s Hospital in Al-Ahsa have been threatened with dismissal from work if they continue to oppose a new decision that increased their work hours, Al-Hayat daily reported. The nurses, who preferred anonymity, said the Ministry of Health’s legal consultant made these threats when he met with them Thursday. They said they did not oppose the decision that forces them to work nine and a half hours, but they wanted to know whether the decision applies to all hospitals in the Kingdom or just their hospital.
