JEDDAH — Ewaan Global Residential Company recently organized a visit for owners of the villas in the first phase of the Al-Fareeda residential project, which the company is developing in Dhahban, north of Jeddah. The visit was aimed at briefing them on the progress of work and latest developments in the project.

Ewaan CEO Riyad Al-Thaqafi said the visit was within the company’s cherished principle of transparency, and its determination to remain in continuous contact with its customers to meet with them, listen to them and know their opinions on the final touches of the project and the schedule for delivering their housing units.

Al-Thaqafi said more than 200 owners of the completed 320 housing units attended the function, during which a presentation was made showing the progress of the project since it started about five years ago. He said the project passed through many difficulties during the initial designs, the beginning of execution work and redesigning, following the rains and floods in Jeddah.

Al-Thaqafi said additions were made in the design, which were not included in the first phase, namely the sewage and water drainage projects, in addition to a power station.

He said the presentation also touched on current problems facing the real estate market, including lack of sufficient manpower following the status-correction campaign of expatriates.

Al-Thaqafi said the company was keen to invite its customers to visit the project, which is in its final stages so as to listen to their ideas and proposals. “We were extremely happy over this meeting, which is the first of its kind by any construction company prior to the delivery of the housing units,” he said.

The CEO said many activities aimed at further strengthening the company’s relationship with its customers were held during the tour. He said the owners made a field tour of the housing units. “The owners also saw the construction and lighting of the roads, which would be ready before they move to their villas,” he added.

He said the owners also saw the sites for social and entertainment facilities and the mosque. He added owners also saw the Al-Fareeda social forum, which will include social, entertainment and sports facilities.

The housing project is the largest of its kind in the Kingdom with respect to the number of housing units, the basic infrastructure and the integrated utilities that will cater to all needs and requirements of modern families.

The construction work on Al-Fareeda project has reached advanced stages with the completion of the basic infrastructure for the first and second phases, according to the highest international standards.

The power station was built at a cost of SR63 million and is ready to start operating. A water processing plant has been built within efforts to make the project environment friendly. The plant is currently being test-run.

Al-Fareeda is the first and most important project Ewaan is currently developing in north Jeddah. It will represent a quantum leap in the city’s modern architecture. The project consists of 1,800 housing units with various sizes and designs and occupies an area of 1 million square meters.

Residents of Al-Fareeda will enjoy the area’s strategic location that makes it close to existing large companies and others under construction, including King Abdullah General Hospital, Al-Thuraya University and the Kingdom City with the tallest tower in the world, in addition to King Abdullah Sports City, which is currently under construction.

Al-Thaqafi said they hoped to present a unique project that has been executed according to the highest international standards and quality that would satisfy customers. “With the help of our partners, we are determined to meet the demand for housing units not only in the western region but in the entire Kingdom in the very near future,” he said.
