Muslims in India: Do not generalize

With regard to the article “From Mohamed to Mohandas” (Dec. 25), please do not generalize because these are isolated cases.

With regard to the article “From Mohamed to Mohandas” (Dec. 25), please do not generalize because these are isolated cases. We have had Muslim presidents in India and the current foreign minister is a Muslim.  Also the third richest Indian is a Muslim. I am proud to be an Indian Muslim. The discrimination felt is individualistic in nature.  A Muslim in India leads a very dignified life with all the freedoms.

We Indian Muslims are better off than many people around the world. And the good thing is that, unlike our neighbor(s), our judicial system is capable of redressing the grievances of all.

It is very true that we Indian Muslims are in better shape in comparison to others. But there is no harm in facing the facts. And please do not talk about the judicial system. We all know how much time it takes to address and then re-address cases. And in any case if religion is involved you know who will suffer.
