ABDULRAHMAN Alireza, General Manager of Reza Food Services Co. Ltd, the exclusive licensee for McDonald’s in the Western Region, shared the company’s recent history with the Pakistan Executive Group (PEG) through a presentation titled “McDonald’s Journey of Success”.
Alireza pointed out that the success of the McDonald’s brand in Saudi Arabia can’t be attributed to any one thing in particular. He did emphasize however that the journey, since the first store in Jeddah back in 1994, has been one that has focused on building the brand in order to build the business.
He said “strengthening the brand by building brand trust is essential for long-term business strength and sustained profitability.”
Brand Trust is a vital component of this formula, Alireza stressed, and “McDonald’s consistently and relentlessly focuses on quality, food safety, and high operational standards at all times.”
“Serving safe and high quality halal food to all our customers and providing them with a great overall McDonald’s experience is an everyday priority for all of us here at McDonald’s,” Alireza noted.
At the same time, Alireza highlighted that being a responsible corporate citizen and “taking care of our people” are essential attributes of building brand trust. It is because of the trust that McDonald’s has built with its consumers around the world that it can proudly boast that it serves an astonishing 69 million customers every day across 119 countries. In 2013, McDonald’s was rated the 7th Best brand in the world by Interbrand, the leading worldwide company that values brands.
“Our journey to success is ongoing,” Alireza further said, and “rest assured we will continue with our persistent efforts and drive to achieve our company mission, which is to become our customers’ favorite place and way to eat and drink.”
The Consul General of Pakistan Aftab Khokher, appreciated the success story of McDonald’s and invited Alireza to consider investing in Pakistan and assured that the commercial section of Pakistan Consulate would extend its full cooperation to the REZA Food Services in identifying the appropriate investment opportunities in Pakistan.
As a token of thanks and appreciation for his presentation, Mutahir Rizvi, President of PEG, presented a PEG Shield to Alireza. The meeting was conducted by Dr. Javed Hayat Khan, Vice President, PEG. — SG
