JEDDAH — Two Saudis and six Pakistanis were nabbed by Jeddah Police on Sunday for posing as security officers and robbing expatiate workers of their possessions. The gang targeted expatriate workers and raided their houses claiming to be security officers and sometimes drug enforcement agents. They robbed clean all targeted places, mostly in the Kandarah, Al-Aziziyah, Al-Faisaliyah, and Al-Jami’ah neighborhoods. Police formed a team of investigators after theft reports involving the gang increased.  Finally, the officers located the gang members and kept a close eye on them. The imposters were caught red-handed while they were preparing to raid a house occupied by an Asian worker. They were all wearing official security officers’ clothes. Jeddah Police spokesman First Lt. Nawaf Al-Bouq urged citizens and expatriates to always request security officers to present their IDs.
