A mixture of Belgium, Lebanon and Armenia, Lola Beuyukian is an intimate story of aspirational spaces filled with intricate design. The brand symbolizes the life of a Lebanese interior decorator and furniture designer who grew up in Europe.
Interior design has been a favorite branch of classicism that uses design and architecture to create and reflect ones identity, status, taste and ambition. Not only does interior design reflect the value of a property it is also one of the most sought after designations for the upcoming designers in the Middle East.
The trend is heightened by an increased interest in this field. Lola specializes in residential interiors, from focuses on creating a comfortable edgy experience with a blend of traditional and modern concepts. Interior design plays with personality and an efficient use of color, pattern, texture, taste, light and space.
By sharing an architect’s zone, Lola is able to define the luxurious taste by adding furnishings, bed linens, trays, candles with manipulation of light and space, to make a place your house a home.
After completing her Business Administration at the American University of Paris she moved back to Lebanon and developed her passion for interior design.
Launched in 2004, Lola B Design is an extension of the designer’s aspiration to fit the Middle Eastern choice of design and architecture with European aesthetics. Lola started off with Beirut Design Week Exhibition where she showcased 15 items from her collection.
“What I achieve is a complete life design. My creativity embraces an exceptional array of products, from objects and accessories to lamps, from custom-made cabinets, chairs and sofas to bed linen and tablecloths. They serve their particular purpose well and because they each have elegant presence in a room,” Lola said.
Influenced by her father, who was a carpenter and owner of a gallery in the 1950s, Lola went on to educate herself in the medium of Interior Design at KLC School of Design, in London.
Beuyukian said she gains inspiration from simple colors and intricate fabrics, creating a natural blend between surprising mediums. By combining glass and leather or metal and plexiglass, Lola B Design fashions luxury with design.
Lola offers a variety of cosmopolitan facets in her designing venture but also incorporates tradition and modern Chinese, Middle Eastern craftsmanship characters that embraces international appeal.
The influences are apparent in many of her pieces such as Dynasty, Noah’s Ark and Arabian Horse. Every piece is handmade and a limited edition of five and often made to measure your paycheck. After all exclusivity comes at a price.
