A new Obeikan Bookstore branch in Dhahran Mall in the Eastern Province was recently inaugurated under a partnership agreement between Obeikan Bookstore and Emax electronics retailer to provide the latest books, electronic devices, and media tools under one roof.
On the occasion of the opening, several new books of various publishing houses in Saudi Arabia and the Arab world were also launched. The move is part of the company’s strategic plans to set up more bookstores to cope with the rising customers’ demand.
To date, Obeikan Bookstore has more than 22 branches across Saudi Arabia housing over 100,000 Arabic and foreign titles in a variety of fields, as well as stationery items, school equipment and a special division for educational methods.
In his speech at the launching ceremony, company CEO Mohammed Abdul Rahman Al Obeikan said the branch in Dhahran Mall is distinct from other branches as it will include for the first time a special pavilion for Emax to showcase its latest media technology.
He added that the Obeikan-Emax partnership comes in response to growing customer’s demand for Arabic and foreign books, stationery and all electronic devices under one roof.
Moreover, the CEO said the new Obeikan Bookstore in the Eastern region will also give shoppers a better shopping experience, and further contribute to the strengthening of the company's sales and profitability.
He explained that the partnership with Emax is in keeping with the fast pace development of the Saudi market.
