RIYADH – Engineer Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel, president of Abdul Latif Jameel Group (ALJ), announced that ALJ is currently building the world's largest Lexus center in Riyadh. The soon-to-open center extends on 26,000 square meters along the Northern Ring Road in Riyadh, with building area of 34,580 square meters. The maintenance service capacity reaches 150 vehicles a day, and the center provides more than 250 job opportunities. In addition, the center includes parking area for above 150 cars, and will be one of the outstanding landmarks in Riyadh.

The number of complaints reported to ALJ is only a few hundreds, compared with several millions of transactions the company conducts every year. ALJ operates above 1,000 after sales service centers in the Kingdom, while delivery of spare parts has reached 98 percent.

According to Nelson, Focal Point and the ALJ studies, customer satisfaction ranged between 82 percent to 86 percent during 2013, during which the company provided 57,000 training hours for its after-sales service staff, and provided 22 million work hours in maintenance sector.

After-sales services staff includes above 12,000 employees who secured the first position for the Company through a period of 38 years. All such achievements are attributed to the outstanding performance and the valuable services that ALJ is providing and improving day after day, since 1955.

Moreover, Jameel extended his thanks and appreciation to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) Takeshi Uchiyamada for his comment in which he said ALJ is one of the best distributors in Toyota's global network.

Underlining the relationship that extends back for more than half a century, Uchiyamada said the relationship between Toyota and ALJ is no longer confined to the Saudi market. Instead, it has opened other markets in the Arab countries and the world, thanks to the remarkable performance of ALJ in the after sales sector in the Kingdom, which motivated Toyota to nominate ALJ as one of best 14 Toyota distributors in the world.

Jameel said "to benefit from our experience in after-sales services, Toyota asked us to open a Lexus branch in Japan, which made ALJ the first non-Japanese company to operate in Japan as Lexus distributor. Not only that, but we won several awards from Toyota Motor Corporation throughout the years, including the Golden Outstanding Performance Award for Top Guest Services for the fourth year in a row. Only 14 Toyota distributors in the world won this award." — SG
