Aston Martin have two world premieres at the Geneva Motor Show 2014, the V8 Vantage N430 and the Aston Martin DB9 Carbon Black and Carbon White Editions. We took a look at the later, itself a special edition version of the DB9 with much carbon fiber goodness added to the package.



Both special edition Aston Martin DB9 Carbon Black and Carbon White Edition continue a tradition started by the Aston Martin DBS Carbon Black edition a few years ago. It gets the same 512 PS 6.0-litre V12 engine although it adds a raft of lightweight carbon fiber features. Both are available to order as Coupe and Volante models.



To start with the carbon white edition, it is differentiate from the carbon black edition by its Stratus White paint job and accented caliper color. Otherwise, it features the same unique carbon fiber elements as the Aston Martin DB9 Carbon Black, that car gets carbon fiber side strakes, black window surrounds and carbon fiber door jambs among other parts.



The Aston Martin DB9 Carbon Black Edition features the same basic underpinnings as the standard Aston Martin DB9. It gets the same 512 PS 6.0-litre V12 engine although it adds a raft of lightweight carbon fiber features. Meanwhile, the contemporary Carbon White special edition adds similar carbon fiber and dark elements contrasting against a Stratus White paint job and accented caliper color.



Both Carbon Black and Carbon White editions add carbon fiber side strakes and black window surrounds. Inside, a strong black styling theme is evident with a choice of accent colors in line with the caliper shade. It both get new carbon fiber details and new black hardware. Bespoke sill plaques with the Carbon Black or Carbon White logo communicate the cars’ rarity.
