JEDDAH – Saudi Telecom (STC) and BlackBerry Limited today announced an integrated carrier billing for BlackBerry smartphone customers in KSA which means that customers can now securely, quickly and conveniently purchase apps on BlackBerry World and charge it directly to their standard Saudi Telecom (STC) bill. To make secure purchases and payments on BlackBerry World, customers will be required to enter their BlackBerry ID username and password. BlackBerry ID provides customers with secure and device-independent user identification to access apps and services. Customers can also make in-app purchases, such as additional content or new levels for a gaming app, without having to leave the app or causing interruption to the app experience.

Abdullah Alkanhal, Marketing GM, STC, said: “The launch marks a significant step for STC to make mobile payments for app purchases simple and secure. This convenient service will enable our customers to enjoy a host of quality apps on BlackBerry World while enhancing their BlackBerry smartphone experience.”
