We have all looked for that perfect substitute for Um Ali, Chocolate and our favorite desserts but have failed miserably. All your efforts will go in vain unless you accept the fact that there is no low-fat in sugar. Unless of course you come across snacks that help you burn fat.
Next time you’re at the gym or working out at home, go for healthier options as opposed to the block of ice-cream in your freezer. And no, healthy can also be delicious. Just because the term describes the nutritional content of the meal, does not mean it won’t taste good.
Remember, even your local frozen yoghurt is laced with sugar. If you are new to this world, then remember first things first. Protein intake with exercise fuels the growth of lean muscle mass that increases your metabolic rate and calorie burning capacity.
Fiber improves digestion and keeps you full. Have it to avoid binging on unhealthy food.
Simple rules. Switch white with brown bread. Make fun mixes and fusion. To begin with, try the Granola Yogurt Parfait using plain yogurt instead of sweetened flavors with granola, fruits and puffed wheat cereal. To snack on, choose green apples and like almonds that provide nourishment. Forget the cookie snack, it is time to replace a 1,000 calories with one cup of skim milk and an apple.
Avacado juice or snacks with cottage cheese and fresh vegetables make for a satisfying treat. Have baked chicken or tuna with toasted wheat bread and crackers.
Edamame, tofu and asparagus make for healthy party snacks for a formal evening. Asparagus, boiled eggs along with broccoli and grapefruit are other best examples of low fat snacks that can make you feel light, full and help you eat clean.
