JEDDAH – Dr Ibrahim Mohammed Badawood, Managing Director of Abdul Latif Jameel Community Initiatives (ALJCI), received the “Best CEO Social Responsibility Award” in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during a ceremony organized by ITP’s CEO Middle East Magazine at Al Faisaliah Hotel in Riyadh.
A group of KSA and regional top executives in business, financial and corporate social responsibility attended the award ceremony, during which 16 top CEO in various categories in the Kingdom were recognized
The award given to Dr. Badawood recognized Abdul Latif Jameel Community Initiatives success in delivering its programs, and its significant contribution to developing the CSR sector in the Kingdom. The award also highlighted his leading role in developing ALJCI’s initiatives to transform the organization in what it is today a proactive contributor to serving the community in the Kingdom.
Dr. Badawood expressed his appreciation to award organizers for being selected among a group of top CEOs in different sectors. He attributed Abdul Latif Jameel Community Initiatives’ success to its dedicated team, as well as to the effective management of Eng. Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel, Chairman of Abdul Latif Jameel Community Initiatives, who firmly believes in the importance of serving the community, and was the one who declared social responsibility as a sector in its own right alongside other business sectors, adopting scientific methods to make social work sustainable.
Dr. Badawood emphasized that without the team’s efforts, the initiatives’ success becoming a role model for community service and social responsibility programs in the Kingdom, the Arab world and indeed the entire world, would not have been possible. — SG
