QASSIM — Basit’s century was the highlight of the weekend matches which took place in the MoneyGram T20 Tournament which is being organized by Al-Qassim Cricket League (AQCL) under the auspices of Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC).



The first match saw Shaheen-XI thrash Pak Madinah by 9 wickets. Pak Madinah put on 177 for 6. Dilshad hit 54 with 7 fours and Saud added 32. Saqib took 2 wickets. Shaheen-XI in response achieved the target for the loss of one wicket. Amit hammered 76 off 52 balls with 8 fours and 3 sixes. Noor Zaman hit 59 off 36 balls with 2 fours and 4 sixes.



Paradise CC defeated Choudhry-XI by 6 wickets in the second outing. Choudhry-XI compiled 151-5. Sajid compiled 69 with 7 fours, while Rasheed hit 36. Nouman and Zahid bagged 2 wickets each. Paradise reached the target for the loss of 4 wickets. Basit blasted a brilliant century, making 106 with 8 fours. 



In the third match, Yamco-XI downed Tigers-XI by 9 runs. Yamco piled up 210-4. Akram made 62, while Aijaz added 38. Tigers, in reply, were restricted to 201. Rasal (47) and Joynal (43) were among the runs.



In the 7th week matches: Sialkot Stallions beat Azad-XI by 2 wickets; Al-Fateh-XI got the better of Choudhry-XI by 6 wickets; and Al-Douliya thumped Yamco-XI by 10 wickets.



The 6th week action saw Paradise CC thrash Pak Madinah by 8 wickets; while in other encounters Janbaz CC defeated Azad-XI by 43 runs; Pak Unayzah thrashed Shaheen-XI by 62 runs; and Al-Dauliya crushed Tigers-XI by 6 wickets.
