JEDDAH – India’s mega film star Mammootty performed Umrah and visited the Prophet’s Mosque. He left Madinah on Wednesday evening for Dubai.



Mammootty arrived in Jeddah on Tuesday afternoon and went to Makkah to perform Umrah. He was accompanied by his wife Sulfath, prominent Indian businessman and Managing Director of EMKE Lulu Group of Companies M.A. Yusuffali, his wife Sabira, and the UAE-based businessman Theruvath Qader. All of them are from the southern Indian state of Kerala.



Mammootty, a three-time winner of India’s national best actor award, refused to speak with media persons, asking them to allow him to perform the lesser pilgrimage in a calm and serene atmosphere.
