AL-KHOBAR — Movenpick Beach Resort Al Khobar was named “Best Resort in Saudi Arabia,” another major award it got for the third consecutive year, at the recently concluded 2013 Saudi Excellence in Tourism Awards (SETA). The upscale family beach resort offers contemporary three-bedroom villas, a tranquil private beach, free-form outdoor pool, two restaurants, water sports and a wellness center. A panorama of lush greenery and spectacular sea views completes the setting on Half Moon Bay Road in Aziziyah.

The awards ceremony was held on March 30 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center (RICEC). It was attended by Prince Sultan Bin Salman, chief of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA), a number of tourism and hospitality officials, participating organizations and other dignitaries in Saudi Arabia. — SG
