JEDDAH – Weather conditions in Jeddah will improve today (Sunday) after two days of turbulent climate, according Director of Tamayuz Center for Climate Change Research and Head of Meteorology Dept. at King Abdulaziz University Dr. Mansour Attiya Al-Mazroui.

He also ruled out any rains in Jeddah, but said there was possibility of a rainfall in the highlands of the western region due to the unstable climatic conditions.

Turbulent climatic conditions on the highlands of Mankkah regions will continue on Sunday and Monday, as also in Hail, Qassim and the Eastern Province, Al-Mazroui said.

Commuters were seen using masks in Jeddah as sandstorm caused breathing difficulties for those with lung problems.

Doctors warned asthma and allergy patients not to expose themselves to dust due to the climatic turbulence.

They advised them to put on masks while going out.

Asthma patients and children are susceptible to dust allergy, said chest disease consultant Dr. Khaled Abdul Kareem.

So they should take extra precautions, he said.

Meanwhile, the Prophet’s City witnessed rains on Friday, which brought down the mercury.

Pilgrims flooding Madinah were enjoying the nice weather.
