QASSIM — Al-Dauliya-XI humbled Sialkot Stallions by 81 runs to claim the AQCL MoneyGram CKB (Cricket Ke Badshah) T2O Cricket Tournament here recently.



Put into bat, Al-Daulia put on 230 for the loss of 4 wickets. Ateeq 71 with 2 sixes and 8 fours, Sajid Cheema 69 with 3 sixes and 9 fours, Wajid 33 not out and Imran 24 were the main contributors. Rizwan claimed 2 wickets.



In reply, Sialkot Stallions was bundled out for 149. Imran 33 and Shams 22 were the notable scorers. Wajid took 4-33, while Ateeq and Fraz bagged 2 wickets each.



Ateeq was adjudged Man of the Match. After the match, a colorful awards distribution ceremony was arranged with SCC CEO Nadeem Nadwi as chief guest.



Also present were AQCL Chairman Zulfiqar Rumi, President Zafar Tahseen, Vice President Nasir Rasheed, General Secretary and SCC Cordinator Aafaque Masudi and other AQCL officials.



Nadwi congratulated AQCL for organizing the event in such an orderly fashion and assured it of SCC’s continued support.



He also shared SCC future programs, events and plans with the players and AQCL officials.



Rumi and Zafar handed the trophy along with a cash prize of SR2,000 to the winning team’s captain Imran. Sialkot Stallions captain Ansar received the runner-up trophy and cash prize of SR1,000. Ateeq of Al Dauliya was named Man of the Match and was given SR500. Sajid Cheema was declared Man of the Tournament, Abdul Rehman Best Batsman and Mushtaq Best Bowler.  Medals were also awarded to players of the winning and runner-up teams, umpires, scorers and AQCL officials.



Earlier in the semifinals Sialkot Stallions beat Paradise by 8 wickets. Paradise scored 169 and Sialkot Stallions achieved the target for the loss 2 wickets.  In the other semifinal, Al-Dauliya scored an 8-wicket win over Fateh-XI. Fateh put on 202 and Al-Dauliya achieved the target for the loss of 2 wickets in the 18th over. — SG
