JEDDAH — Researchers, specialists and experts from 15 countries will be taking part in the 3rd Saudi Paints & Colors Conference 2014 organized by Al-Jazeera Paints, the giant in high quality paints industry in Saudi Arabia, the Gulf States and the Middle East.

The 3-day conference opens today and closes on April 29 at Palace Hall, Hilton Hotel in Jeddah, while Al-Jazeera Paints Academy concluded all arrangements related to this conference.

Eng. Nasser  Bin Mohammad Al-Romaih, Al-Jazeera Paints Company Deputy General Manger, said  33 keynote speakers will be presented to the 3rd edition of the Saudi Paints & Colors  Conference.

The event is expected to exceed the previous conferences "quantitatively and qualitatively",  Al-Romaih said, citing that a number of topics will be discussed during six scientific sessions, two each day, including “colors, paints technology and green buildings.”

He expected that participants may exceed 500,  including engineers, consultants and construction stakeholders. Al-Romaih added: “Researchers, specialists  and experts from 15 countries, including those from the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa continents".

He said that representatives from a number of institutes, universities, scientific research groups as well as companies engage in paints, colors and chemicals in Saudi Arabia and other countries.

In addition to speakers from Al-Jazeera Paints Company, experts and specialists from the American TMA company will be present for green environment consultations, along with those from the British Global Color Research Institute, a government-run Dubai Central Labs, Norwegian  Jotun Paints, French Dow Chemicals and Crystal Company, one of the leading manufacturers of titanium dioxide worldwide.

Al-Jazeera Paints had  organized the 1st Saudi Paints & Colors Conference in 2012  in Abha city while the 2nd Saudi Paints & Colors Conference 2013 was held in  Riyadh.

Both conferences were a remarkable success, attracting a group of academics and experts from within and outside the Kingdom, along with a large number of participants.

Al-Romaih believed that Al-Jazeera Paints realized a quantum leap in the field of paints and colors by after launching the conference which is as globally recognized.

The conference is considered to be a good toll to enrich knowledge and knowhow because of the large diversity of participants who will help bridge the gap between scientific theories and practical applications.

Al-Romaih pointed out that Al-Jazeera Paints organizes the conference annually to enrich scientific research and bridge the gap between the research institutes, the industry and the paints and colors professionals.

Moreover, the company seeks to increase society's awareness in this field as part of its social responsibility.

The 3rd conference will be held after Al-Jazeera Paints was named among the 100 commercial brands last year.
