RIYADH – The Ministry of Agriculture will attach electronic chips to all camels, containing information on the breed and country of importation.

Jaber Al-Shehri, undersecretary for agricultural research and development, said the ministry has already started implementing a new plan to examine all camels to track down the coronavirus.

The new plan also focuses on wild animals at large in nature reserves. The ministry will cooperate with the Ministry of Health and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) to conduct an extensive examination on all animals in the Kingdom and track down epidemic diseases, particularly coronavirus.
