RIYADH — The prestigious Riyadh Toastmasters Club (RTM) elected its new Executive Committee Members in accordance with the norms and procedures of Toastmasters International.



Election Nomination Committee Chairman TM Sanjay Mahat initiated the proceedings by explaining the nomination and election process of Toastmasters International. He then asked TM Antony, the Deputy Chairperson of the Committee to introduce the nominations for different positions.



Then the actual election process was carried out in the most democratic way and the following Excom Members were elected for the year 2014-15: TM Sivaramalingam, President; TM Krishnan Surendran, VP Education; TM Pankaj Shah, VP Membership; TM Dr. Sayeed Mohiuddin, VP Public Relations; TM Dr. Sudhakar, Secretary; TM Shabeer Mohd. Kottoth, Treasurer; and TM Ahmed Alkhatami, Sergeant at Arms.



This memorable event was looked over by DTM Daniel Abraham, Area Governor TM Mohammed Mubin and current President TM Shankaran Iyer.



The President Elect, TM Sivaramalingam, in his keynote speech thanked the office bearers and Members of RTM for entrusting faith in his abilities and electing him to lead RTM for the term June 2014 to May 2015. He has served as VP Education in the current term.



A photo session was followed by brief speeches congratulating the newly elected Excom members.



This event was witnessed by the active participation of huge number of RTM members who did not wished to be missed out in this historic moment. — SG
