RIYADH — A total of 219 Filipinos living in the Eastern Province city of Hafr Al-Batin benefited from the Philippine Embassy's “Embassy on Wheels” consular outreach program on May 23-24. The two-day activity was able to serve 204 applicants for passport renewals and three passport extensions.
Applications for a birth registration, seven notarial services and one emergency travel document were also processed and three new passports released.
The next “Embassy on Wheels” is scheduled at Al-Jazeera International School in Dammam on June 6-7.
Meanwhile, the Philippine Embassy announced its changed office hours during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan. A press statement said starting from the first day of fasting, the office hours will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday to Thursday.
Those with appointments for passport renewal will be accommodated between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. from June 24 to July 24. Other services, such as notarial, authentication, civil registry and documentation services, do not require appointments. However, consular outreach services or Embassy on Wheels hours and schedules will not be changed.
Normal office hours will resume on the first working day after Eid Al-Fitr. — SG
