BISHA — Civil Defense rescue teams are still searching for the body of Saad Al-Qarni who was swept away by flash floods in Bisha governorate in April.

Amid the high temperatures, the rescue teams aided by reinforcements from neighboring governorates have been continuing their search in the rigorous terrain of the region for more than three months with no success.

Rescuers have so far dried up seven large pools in which flood water accumulated. Col. Hussein Al-Alyani, director of Bisha Civil Defense, said the search would continue.

“We’ll use heavy equipment to suck water out of pools and dig out soil. Search won’t stop until the body is found even in Ramadan,” he added.
