“In Arendelle’s fair kingdom, a ruler did appear. Born with a secret power so great, alone, she stayed in fear. Although the force was hidden, one day she let it go, and all the land was covered in eternal ice and snow.” Narrator in the trailer for Disney’s movie, “Frozen”
Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Sven and Olaf, if you know these names then you are probably a fan of the Disney movie, “Frozen.” Set in the imaginary Kingdom of Arendelle, the movie tells a story about Princess Elsa and her younger sister Princess Anna. Elsa was born with the power to create snow and ice.
But instead of being amazed and delighted by such an ability, Elsa’s parents always made her hide her talents. They kept her away from Anna, too, afraid that Elsa might in some way hurt her sister. In the end, an act of true love unites Anna and Elsa and they live happily ever after. The official movie trailer for the film is at www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbQm5doF_Uc&feature=kp
My favorite video clip based on the movie is the singing of the beautiful song “Let It Go” in 25 different languages. You may never have heard singing in Russian, Thai or Norwegian but you can experience them all at www.youtube.com/watch?v=OC83NA5tAGE. There’s also an English Sing-Along version of “Let It Go” at www.youtube.com/watch?v=0HtACLaRDk0.
If you enjoy singing along with “Let It Go,” and you have an iPad, then you can get the app “Disney Karaoke: Frozen.” It costs $7.99 and has movie clips and nine original songs from the film. With the app you can listen, sing along or record your own voice. A sparkly snowflake makes it easy to follow the words and keep up with the music. And don’t forget to download the free “Frozen” game for Android or iPhone/iPad called, “Frozen Free Fall.” Solving the icy puzzles will help you feel cool!
