JAZAN – An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale rocked Jazan Friday without causing any damage, according to Hani Zahran, director of National Center of Earthquakes and Volcanoes at Saudi Geological Survey. Nobody felt the tremor that occurred along the south-west coast of the Red Sea. The tremor happened at 1 a.m. Friday. Ali Ishqi, ecology professor at King Abdulaziz University, said it is normal for tremors to hit the Red Sea coastal region.
