THE Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh hosted an iftar in support of the Sanad Children’s Cancer Support Society. Held as part of the Ritz-Carlton’s Community Footprints program, 50 children and their families from Sanad Children’s Cancer Support Society were invited to enjoy an evening of fine dining in celebration of the children, many of whom were survivors of cancer.
To further enhance the celebration, ladies and gentlemen of The Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh organized a day of Garga’an in partnership with the Society. A GCC tradition, children visit the community, knock on doors screaming “Garga’an” and receive candy in return. In preparation for Garga’an, the children customized their own handmade bags which were also filled with giveaways from The Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh kids corner. In addition to enjoying a day of Garga’an, the children also participated in an array of fun activities including face painting and jumping around bouncing castles.
“Our Community Footprints program is an important part of our legacy and the Ladies and Gentlemen of The Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh are continually finding ways to help our local community,” said Adel Almahboob, General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh. “We are extremely proud to be part of such a significant time in their lives and are dedicated to creating lifetime memories for each and every one of these children and their families.”
