DAMMAM — The head of the Saudi Industrial Property Authority (Modon) has said the 3rd industrial city is ready to receive 100 factories, Al-Eqtisadiah daily reported.
Saleh Al-Rasheed said the city covers a 12 million square-meter area and will receive factories from the first industrial city that cause environmental pollution.
He noted that there is no set period for the relocation of these factories from the first city to the third, but there are some factories that have already been advised to relocate.
He pointed out the city includes a power station that is capable of producing 500 megawatts of electricity, in addition to a water desalination plant, and the necessary infrastructure. — SG
