You all must have faced that feeling when your math homework is so difficult that you get frustrated.

Then your little brother is annoying you with his small chats. In that moment, you also start getting hungry which causes your frustration to increase even more.

Everything combines together affecting you temper and you just want to scream out loud at your brother and parents.

Why do you want to scream?

It is because you are angry. Everybody gets angry sometimes, but some kids get angry more than others.

There are others who get so angry that they lose control of their feelings and start acting in a way that is unacceptable and hurtful.

There are many kids who break things when they are angry or start beating others, especially their siblings.

Do you think it is the right way to vent out your anger?

Experts say that anger is a useful emotion. It gives you the sense of right and wrong. But when it gets out of control, it is destructive. It can lead to many problems in your school and family life.  It also affects your health causing headache and restlessness.

It is not okay to act this way as you hurt yourself and others. We should try to manage our anger. Here are few tips you should act upon so that your anger never gets out of control:

l Whenever you feel that you are going to scream at someone, stand up and immediately fetch yourself a cold glass of water. It will give you time to think and understand the situation more clearly.

l Get involve into a lot of physical activity. Play outdoors sports like football, basketball and run fast. It will pump your heart burning energy and stress.

l Always, always talk to your parents. Let them know what makes you angry. Ask them to help you in anger management and for a treat when you go a week without getting angry.

l Get control of yourself. Fight your anger by telling yourself that anger is not a good thing for anyone. Make a list and mark a check every time you win. It will encourage you to keep up your fight with anger.

l Take a break from the situation. If you are standing, sit down. If you are sitting then lay down. If something or someone that makes you angry is in your room, leave the room for a while. Join the conversation when you feel calm and have thought it through.

Once you know how to control your anger you will feel the change. You will be able to make new friends and keep them. Your teachers and parents will appreciate your effort and you’ll become a good human being.
