Sitting under the shade of an umbrella amid the rubble of a demolished building in Al-Nikasa neighborhood of Makkah, this illegal expatriate is rolling betel leaves with tobacco, which is then sold as a mild stimulant to people from several Asian communities. Parings of areca nut, lime and cinnamon are wrapped in betel leaf along with tobacco and then chewed, causing the saliva to go red. — Courtesy Makkah Daily
