If you’re bored with the same social media apps, here a few entertaining social networks you should know about.

• Medium is a microblogging program that was created by Evan Williams and Biz Stone (formerly of Twitter). You can publish stories or thoughts or recommend stories with their networks and curate their favorites.

• Secret, as per its name, offers you anonymity. And that’s a Saudi requisite. Secret is a platform for users to share their feelings and thoughts anonymously. Predominantly, secrets come from Facebook friends or contacts, without you knowing who they are.

• WeHeartIt is an artistic approach to Pinterest. Instead of pin boards, the app uses canvases and collections. Users can like or “heart” and tag others users in photos too.

• Bubblews, a social networking startup, allows users to create posts or “bubbles”, comment or like other bubbles and follow friends. The difference between other social networks and Bubblews is that the company pays its users who attract advertisers and traffic. They don’t have a mobile app yet.

• WeChat is a mobile text and voice messaging service. You can make free calls, share “Moments” or pictures and videos and create group chats. You can also network with people and find new people nearby.

• Shots allows you to (if your selfie-obsessed nature will allow it), take selfies and share it on the app. You cab reply to any given Shot, while having the advantage to send private messages and network with people.
