JEDDAH — The 2014 Sensation Dubai lineup is out, and in a headline-grabbing news EDM’s wonder boy Martin Garrix will perform in the Middle East for the very time on October 31.
With all eyes on Sensation that marked its debut in Dubai with a promising resume and foothold in the music festival scene, the late announcement came as a huge relief.
The diverse yet strongly influenced by EDM lineup includes Hard Rock Sofa, Roger Sanchez, Martin Garrix, An21 & Max Vangeli and Mr. White.
Eighteen-year-old Garrix — famous for his number one worldwide smash hit “Animals” — will be performing in Dubai for the very first time.
The first outdoor edition of Sensation “Source of Light” will be held at Meydan Racecourse in Dubai.
Meydan is said to be transformed into an endless white oasis, waiting for 15,000 to be entertained and celebrate the dance festival.
Speaking with Saudi Gazette, Sensation official Nicolas Vandenabeele said: “I don’t think I need to introduce Mister White. He’s the face of Sensation White and opens every show and sets the right vibe. The Russian duo Hard rock Sofa are rising stars in the industry, they got signed by Axwell’s label Axtone. We feel strong about supporting new talent. American DJ legend Roger Sanchez will take over from them. The man who scored numerous hits in the world charts and icon to many clubbers. At midnight Dutch icon Martin Garrix will take the stage, he just had to be there!”
It’s his first time in this region due to the popular demand from the EDM crowd. AN21 & Max Vangeli will close the night. “I saw them on the Main Stage of Tomorrow Land this year...one word: amazing! We didn’t hesitate one second to book them. Overall I’m confident we created the right mix and musical wise we have a very strong line up that attracts a wide demographic,” said Vandenabeele.
