Samsung ‘Launching People’ winner Sara Osta, launched her first art exhibit in Jeddah on Tuesday at At Tasami Gallery.

“It is an unbelievable. I am still shaking,” an excited Osta told Saudi Gazette.

Her reflective illustrations revolve around profound sayings and personal contemplations that are often interpreted as daringly distinctive. Using stick figures, just a pen and sometimes a mixed media approach with Arabic calligraphy, Osta uses contemporary art and musings to create every piece. Still tremendously young and going through an age of innocence, Osta said her inspiration revolves around music, people and their way of living. “I want to thank my family and friends, they are my biggest supporters. Including my brothers.” She said Muna Abu Sulayman helped her through out the course.

The three day long exhibition featured her artwork on sale and was held in Serafi Mall’s new art wing on Tahliya Street.
