JEDDAH — On the occasion of the Saudi National Day, a four-day exhibition of Saudi productive families will start at Jeddah’s Tahilia business center on Thursday, September 25.

Around 50 female representatives from the Saudi productive families will gather in order to support the emerging home-based businesses and to aid them in achieving financial independence and securing a steady income for themselves.

In return, the success of the productive families will also have a positive impact in boosting the Saudi economy and enriching local businesses.

Majida Babrook, a businesswoman and director of Al Wakn establishment for events and conferences, said: “To support Saudi women’s economic development activities and to create ways to aid them in achieving financial independence and securing a steady income for themselves by providing suitable Job opportunities are the main objectives of the event.

“We focus on supporting productive and hard working families and to highlight their competitiveness and creativity that has led them to this point. It gives women the opportunity to expand and reach a larger audience and showcase their products that have been made to a greater extent in the home and are just waiting to be discovered. The goal of the event is to support national talent and marketing of their products.”

She added: “The small business corner aims to spread the culture of selling to the young generation and to introduce the concept of financial awareness and motivate children in business fields.”
