It is not that easy for men either. In fact, men are able to revolutionize hair trends for entire generations. If you are a trendsetter, here is a selection of the most popular looks of 2014. We have seen the undercut everywhere, from runways to the boy next door. For specific cuts, make sure you pick according to your face type and jaw line that serves as a defining factor. It is time to let go and embrace your favorite look of the season. So go ahead and recreate any of the top 5 trends.
1. The Quiff
You either love it or hate it. But regardless, it is everywhere. Coming back from the 1950s, the front locks are longer than the hair on the rest of the head.
2. The Undercut
The undercut is the most popular trend seen on footballers, celebrities and even the man in Vogue. The cut eliminates all hair except for the length on top that you can style differently giving you the edge over its competitors. It is also seen worn on sides (longer on top) and tapering down towards the neck.
3. Side-parted Slicked back hair
It is still here. We all loved it in Mad Men and the look is back on TV, runways and parties. The popular way to wear slick hair is to keep it parted to one side but spice it up with a cut that angles to one side.
4. Fades
High contrast and high-rise. Cropping is gone, but Drake shows you how to wear it best. With carefully trimmed hair on the sides and back, short/medium-length hair sports this best. You can have it built in by having your stylist draw geometrical shades or side part it.
5. Waves
Rugged and untamed. Mc Dreamy from Grey’s Anatomy had it. He had the dreamy appeal and you can achieve the updated version by using hair mousse and sculpting medium-length hair. Using blow dry to lift hair up and over for a messy appearance. Waves add additional volume and layering.
