JEDDAH — Khak-e-Taiba Trust (KTT), a community welfare organization, feted two scholars for their contributions in guiding pilgrims on the correct method and approach of performing various pilgrimage rituals.
They had participated in the Haj seminar organized by the group prior to the Haj this year. A large number of Indian and Pakistani expatriates attended the event with Islamic scholars Mufti Ziauddin Naqshbandi, Professor Islamic law Jamia Nizamia, and Mohammad Najeeb Qasmi Sanbhali giving an illuminating presentation on Haj rituals.
Sanbhali delivered a PowerPoint presentation in which he briefly described the various Haj rituals, possible complications and their solutions according to the Qur’an and Islamic way of life prescribed by Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.
Chief Guest Naqshbandi stressed the importance of Haj, saying: “Each and every moment during Haj is precious. A Haji must know the importance of time and spend time mainly in worshipping and praying. Many ayahs from Holy Qur’an reflect the importance of Haj.”
Syed Khaja Viqaruddin, the trust’s general secretary, said: “KTT always remains in the forefront for propagating Islamic and educational causes through seminars and competitions. To make this event successful, KTT members organized this program in coordination with Twin Cities Youth Welfare Association members.
“We only aim to convey Allah’s message to all Muslim brothers and sisters and we aim to help our community and continue the road map developed by the organization,” he added.
Shamim Kausar Trustee of KTT briefed about the activities of trust back home in India. He said: “KTT recently laid foundation stone of their new building in extension of school campus. We aim to accommodate 1,000 more students, and we have planned to complete this building within two years. We are also looking forward to establish a junior college in future.
The program started with the recitation of Holy Qur’an by Qari Basith followed by a Naat from Syed Khalid Madani.
Aleem Khan Falki, senior member of KTT was the convener of the program. Viqaruddin presented plaques to both speakers. Falki delivered the vote of thanks.
