Saudi Gazette reportRIYADH — Around 12,436 violators of residency, labor laws and border security regulations were arrested in various regions of the Kingdom within a week.According to the Ministry of Interior the arrests were made during the joint field campaigns carried out by various units of the security forces across the Kingdom during the week from September, 22 to 28.The arrests included 6,911 violators of the residency system, 3,249 violators of the border security rules, and 2,276 violators of the labor laws.Another 198 people were arrested while trying to cross the border into the Kingdom, 35% were Yemenis, 55% Ethiopians, and 10% of other nationalities, with 44 violators being caught trying to cross the border to go out of Saudi Arabia.Eight people were involved in...

Saudi Gazette report RIYADH — New COVID-19 cases in Saudi Arabia dropped below the 100-mark on Saturday, with 77 new infections recorded over the past 24 hours. New COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom were fluctuating between 60 and 200 during the past weeks. According to a statement from the Ministry of Health, 1 person has died due to complications caused by the virus over the past 24 hours. This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 816,575 and the total number of the virus-related fatalities to 9,353. According to the ministry, a total of 71 people recovered over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 803,691.Among the active cases 34 of them were in critical condition.
