SHARJAH — In an operation called "Lightning Force", the anti-narcotics department of the Sharjah Police arrested a gang of nine persons, who attempted to sell more than a million "Zinex" tablets, worth more than 15 million dirhams, in the country. Lt. Col. Majid Al Asam, director of the anti-narcotics department, revealed that they had received information that the gang had brought in large quantities of narcotic pills to distribute them to a group of promoters in less than 24 hours. After the police confirmed the information, a security team was formed to follow-up on the case.
