RIYADH — Yara International School Riyadh prevailed over Al-Aliya International School Riyadh 2-0 in the Lulu Cup Keli Inter-School Football Tournament at Nasriya Al-Asima International Stadium here.
In the second half of the thrilling match, Noorudeen scored the first goal for Yara School in the 32nd minute. Although Al-Aliya boys made some brilliant moves thereafter, they could not convert any shots into goals. Yara School scored again in the 36th minute when Bilal completed the tally.
Seven international Indian schools of Riyadh and Al-Kharj are participating in the 4th Keli School Tournament sponsored by Lulu Hyper Market. The inter-school matches are played alongside the Riyadh Villas Cup Keli Football Tournament. Hassan, Muhammad Rafeekh and Subhash were the match officials.
Prior to the match, players of both the teams were introduced to Rashid Aliyar, coordinator of Al-Kharj Middle East International School, and other guests. — SG
