ABU DHABI — The first Nile Property Expo recently concluded in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi. The expo showcased Egypt’s latest property development from more than 15 real estate developers, in one of the biggest platforms outside Egypt.

The three-day exhibition — Dec. 14 to Dec. 16 — took place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

Nile Property Expo brought together the Egyptian ministers and officials and number of the leading investors in the real estate.

The Managing Director of Expo Republic, the organizer of the Nile Property Expo, Shady Amin commented, “There are approximately 450,000 Egyptians living in the UAE, one of the largest expatriate communities in the UAE. The need for investment in Egypt has surged a demand for such expos which provide a common platform for developers while giving investors a bouquet of opportunities to choose from.”

Visitors expressed their appreciation for the event that featured record low interest rates, easy monthly payment plans, direct B2C engagement, and a diverse portfolio of a range of projects have been cited as the factors behind the fuelled growth of the Egyptian real estate sector. “We Egyptians are eager to invest back home but unfortunately going all the way and looking for the right property is a disadvantage. Plus, online we can’t be sure and it’s never safe to trust but when we heard about this event we made sure we will attend it because to be able to talk to the right people and be able to choose from such a huge list of properties both residential and commercial is a unique opportunity,” explained a guest who was visiting with his family.

Dr. Bassem A. Kalila, chairman of Expo Republic added, “Nile Expo puts a new spin on real estate exhibitions by combining perspectives of Egypt’s brokers, owners, developers and real estate leaders under one roof, internationally. We are expecting a positive turnout during the exhibition due to contributing factors including the Egypt’s booming real estate market, great potential returns on investment and newly launched schemes by international developers.”

The success of the show not only creates a high demand from developers and agencies in the market for a second show in 2018, but also a huge demand from visitors and investors who joined the event looking for smart property investments.

“Nile Property Expo aims to achieve a long-lasting momentum as a dynamic platform where real estate developers meet and unveil their projects to both the local and expatriate community. Likewise, such exhibition represents the strong ties and relation between Egypt and the UAE,” concluded Dr. Bassem.
