DUBAI – Dubai Startup Hub, an initiative of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, recently hosted a series of workshops during the Tawteen 360 Student Forum in Dubai, which aimed to promote entrepreneurship among business-minded youth and showcase the opportunities it provides to its members and the entrepreneurial community in Dubai.

More than 200 students from various universities in the UAE took part in the workshops, which examined practical aspects of launching a business such as developing business ideas, creating business plans, and transforming ideas into successful ventures.

Commenting on Dubai Startup Hub’s participation in the forum, Dubai Chamber’s Manager for Entrepreneurship Strategy Natalia Sycheva said: “These workshop series was a great learning experience for the students as it enabled them to explore the benefits and possibilities that entrepreneurship can provide talented youth today. By engaging with students directly, we were also able to gain valuable insights about their ambitions and unique needs, which will help us improve our approach to supporting young entrepreneurs, startups and SMEs across Dubai.”

She added that the various programs and initiatives organized under Dubai Startup Hub, including Youth Business Voice, Market Access, Dubai Smartpreneur Competition, and Tejar Dubai, have seen the launch of several innovative and successful business ventures in recent years.

Also joining the workshops were Mohamed Amine Belarbi and Mohamed Zakariae El Khdime from Vul9, as well as Omar Almheiri and Hamza Khan from letswork, who shared their start-up success stories and practical advice.

Held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the Tawteen 360 Student Forum was organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation in cooperation with the Ministry of Education. The Forum is a national platform for empowering and educating students and youth about the importance and benefits of working in the private sector.

Dubai Chamber initially launched Dubai Startup Hub in 2016 to connect startups, entrepreneurs, developers, venture capitalists and students, enabling them to learn about new opportunities and create new partnerships that stimulate economic growth.
