Haj Ministry opens e-link for Qatari pilgrims for Haj

JEDDAH – The Ministry of Haj and Umrah has set the link (https://qh.haj.gov.sa) to enable Qatari nationals or foreign residents of Qatar performing Haj by registering their data and choose appropriate services for their needs, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said on Sunday.

The ministry set up this electronic link following no response and cooperation from Qatar's Ministry of Endowments.

The Ministry of Haj and Umrah said, “Further to its statement dated June 30, 2018, on setting up a direct link for the pilgrims of Qatar, and after no response and cooperation from Qatar's Ministry of Endowments with the concerned authorities in Saudi Arabia to finalize arrangements and requirements of Qatari pilgrims, the Ministry of Haj and Umrah has completed all necessary arrangements for serving Qatari pilgrims wishing to perform Haj this year 1439H.”

The ministry affirmed that the government of the Saudi Arabia, and upon the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, welcomes the arrival of all Muslims including pilgrims, Umrah performers and visitors from all over the world and will spare no effort to provide them with all services and facilities that enable them to perform their rites with ease and tranquility.

Meanwhile, the Foundation of Pilgrim Guides for Non-Arab African Countries celebrated on Sunday the arrival of the first group of pilgrims from South Africa who arrived at the Haj Terminal at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah to perform Haj this year 1439 AH.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Foundation, Rami Bin Saleh Labani, congratulated the pilgrims who have arrived in the holy sites, stressing that the foundation has already completed its technical and human preparations for the Haj season, under the close attention and follow up by Minister of Haj and Umrah Dr. Muhammad Saleh Bin Taher Benten to receive pilgrims and provide them with appropriate services upon arrival until their departure for their homelands safely. — SPA
