Saudi-UAE ties strong and growing: King

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman praised the strong brotherly relations between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

In a cable of congratulations to UAE President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan on the occasion of his country’s 47th National Day, King Salman stressed the efforts of all to promote and develop bilateral ties in all fields.

On behalf of the people and government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the King expressed the best wishes to the UAE president and further progress and prosperity to the government and the people of the UAE.

Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, also sent a cable of congratulations to Sheikh Khalifa.

Sheikh Khalifa said that the establishment of the country was a “groundbreaking” initiative by the UAE’s Founding Fathers.

The president described the establishment of the United Arab Emirates in 1971 as a “dream” that became a “bright reality” for citizens, the nation, the region and the world at large, adding in his statement on the occasion of UAE’s 47th National Day that the Union was a reflection of a “deep desire” held by citizens and the country’s leadership.
